MIMCO Staff Biographies

John F. Baldwin, born 1927, is Chairman of the Board of Mimco and responsible for all divisions. He has 30 years of experience in the dairy business. He has been associated with the company since 1971 and previously was President of Baldwin-Frankford Dairies. He attended Temple University and Penn State University.










G.BaldwinJulia
George H. Baldwin, Jr., born 1946, has been with the company since 1980. He was employed for two years by the Harbison Dairies Division of Southland Corporation and for two years by Nelson's Ice Cream company. He has served 27 years with the United States Marine Corps Reserve and holds the rank of Colonel. He has a BA degree from the University of Kansas and an MBA in Management from LaSalle University. In 1999 he was elected the prestigeous position as a Director on the Frankford Hospital Board. He is the son of George H. Baldwin, Sr.

In March, 2000, George was appointed to the Abington Township Industrial Development Authority for the remaining three years, of a five year term. As his father (George Baldwin, Sr.) did for the Township of Bensalem, it is the intention of Balford Farms, to support the surrounding communities through sponsorship and participation of local affairs.

During April of 2006, Mr. Baldwin was recipient of the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund and the Globe & Anchor Award, for leadership and service to the country and community.















W.Baldwin
Wayne E. Baldwin, born 1953, has been with the company since 1979 having served in route sales, distribution, warehouse and operations management. He has been responsible for corporate Information Technology since 1987. Prior to joining the company, he was with Vornado, Inc. for eight years in Store Operations/Management. He majored Mass Media at Bucks County Community College. His I.T. skills include Systems, Applications, and Communications programming on VSE Mainframe, Linux (Unix) and PC platforms. He is the cousin of John and George Baldwin.













L.Bowes
Laurence E. Bowes, born 1955, joined the company in 1996 when Quality Dairy Products, Inc. merged with MIMCO. Prior to joining the company he was Vice President of Quality Dairy Products, Inc. In addition, he has held various senior management positions throughout the country in his seven years with Joahanna Dairies and nine years with the Southland Corporation. He has a BS from Penn State University and did extensive graduate work at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Larry was appointed to the Greater Philadelphia Restaurant & Purveyor Association in 2000. In 2005 he became President of Balford Farms.













C.Rears
Christopher L. Rears, born 1947, joined Balford Farms as Director of Human Resources during June 2000. He was previously employed by the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company, the engineering and consulting firm of CH2M Hill, The Prudential Life Insurance Company, and the U.S. Marines. Chris has a bachelor's degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree from Central Michigan University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. He has two grown daughters and lives in Philadelphia with his wife Beverly.













D.Smith
Daniel T. Smith, born 1959, joined the company in 1996 when Quality Dairy Products, Inc. merged with MIMCO. He was Founder and President of Quality Dairy Products, Inc. for six years. Prior to that he was Assistant Operations Manager for Abbott's / Pennbrook Dairies for seven years. He has an associate degree from the Food Marketing Academy at St. Joseph University.













R.Venafra
Robert E. Venafra, born 1955, joined the company in 1983 as Controller. He was promoted to corporate Treasurer in 1986. For two previous years he was employed by Peat Marwick Main & Co.. He is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting and treasury matters. He received a BS in accounting from Drexel University in 1978, and his CPA in 1981. Bob is an adjunct faculty member for the Bucks County Community College Business Department.
